1881 and then some Scholarship
The 1881 and then some Scholarship was created to provide HBCU students with support and the opportunity to develop professionally and personally.
Eligibility Requirements:
-Graduating senior at an HBCU
-GPA of 3.0 or greater
-Accepted into a graduate or professional program and set to begin Fall 2022
Additional Information:
-Proof of GPA and classification will be required if selected.
-Proof of enrollment in a graduate or professional program will be required if selected.
-Preference will be given to individuals who majored in the social sciences and those pursuing a graduate/professional degree in the fields of law or education.
-Applicants must submit a completed application packet. Incomplete applications will not be considered. For consideration, please submit the completed application by May 9, 2022.
Essay:
Please submit an essay of 1000 words or less about how your experiences at your HBCU have shaped you, what you hope to achieve after graduation, and how those aspirations will positively impact the community.
